The trees in La Chiusa are located a short walk from Calluzzi in an area bordered by woods where our nonno showed us how to forage for wild mushrooms. La Chiusa used to be a cherry orchard but the cherry trees were replaced by olives about 40 years ago... you can still find a few fruit trees among the olives.
If you adopt a tree from this grove you will first receive the Welcome Package which contains:
- Adoption Certificate
- Photo of your tree
- Certifcate & Photo holder
- Welcome letter
And then in the spring, you will receive 6 tins (total of 3 liters) of your tree's olive oil.
Olives from your tree will be pressed, along with neighboring trees (it's a family affair).
